Welcome to "Cocaya Audiovisual Studio," a dynamic and versatile freelance video editing and visual art studio. It offers creative solutions tailored to your unique needs. As a freelance studio, Cocaya brings a fresh perspective and a personalized touch to every project it undertakes.

 
 

Cocaya is a Greek Artist living between Thessaloniki (GR), Berlin (DE) and Brussels (BE). Cocaya’s real name is Katerina Varsamopoulou. Growing up in a small Greek village she realized very early that she had an artistic soul. Having made her first creation at the age of twelve with various cut magazine photos, she still creates handmade collages today, but never posts them in digital form. Her first love was Video Editing and realized at the age of sixteen that she wanted to do it forever. Since then, she has not stopped. Apart from that, she has a serious interest in filming and photography. By creating an independent projects, she is able to express her artistic vision.

She started as a freelance, under the name “Cocaya”. Eventually,  Cocaya decided to become more established and formal as a business by adding “Audiovisual Studio” to her stage name.
 

What does "Cocaya" mean? 
"Cocaya" means "Owl" ! Wow! But, in Greek, it is pronounced "Owl". When she was 4 years old she couldn't say the word "Coucouvayia" and so, she created a new word "Cocaya".

What kind of videos are processed by Cocaya? 

Cocaya has a focus on processing videos with a nostalgic touch, drawing inspiration from the aesthetics and styles of the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s. These decades were known for their unique artistic expressions, and videos from that era often have a vintage, retro, or nostalgic vibe.

Cocaya specializes on creating music videos, dance performance videos, short films and visual art.

By filming scenes or searching the internet and finding videos according to the client's wishes, Cocaya creates for you the best possible result for the visualization of your work.

 

Why does Cocaya also create Visual Art for Galleries and Exhibitions?

Visual art can convey emotions, ideas, or messages, and it allows artists to explore their creativity and express their unique perspectives. It is an essential aspect of human culture, often serving as a means of storytelling, cultural expression, and social commentary.
